Dave Marlin Goalie Academy

     Dave played 6 seasons of professional hockey.  He played the 2006-2007 season with HK36 Skalica in the Slovak Extraliga and has attended 2 AHL camps with the Hershey Bears in 2004 and 2007.

    His first 5 seasons he played in the East Coast Hockey League with the Reading Royals, Trenton Titans, Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies, Fresno Falcons, and Las Vegas Wranglers.  Dave has molded his style of teaching from the various goalies he has worked with throughout his years of playing. 

    Dave first went to Quebec in 1995 and learned the Quebec jButterfly style.  After seeing all the goalies from Finland having success, he did several trips there and studied with the goalie gurus from the clubs TPS Turku and Karpat Oulu.  These are the clubs that have produced such NHL goalies as Miikka Kiprusoff, Antero Niittymaki, Frederik Norrena, Jani Hurme, Niklas Backstrom, and Pekka Rinne.  He is the first coach in North America to bring this athletic, balanced, flexible, hands-active style to you; this style is the future of the position.

    Dave graduated from SUNY Geneseo in 2001 and is certified as a math teacher.  He played locally for the Quakers (1996 National Champion Runner-up) and Downingtown High School, where he graduated in 1996.
